Monte Freeman is the General Manager at Americas Auto Auction–Oklahoma, formerly Z66 Auto Auction–Tulsa, Oklahoma. With 24 years of experience as a GM in the Tulsa market, he has been deeply involved in the auto auction industry. Raised as a "car kid," he grew up in the business—his father owned and managed both new and used car dealerships throughout his career. His grandfather, a cowboy, played a significant role in his upbringing, shaping a unique blend of both automotive and Western lifestyles.

Freeman's career as a General Manager in the auction industry began in 2001, overseeing a consignment of 150 units and selling 75 in a two-lane sale held in the back of a refurbished laundromat. Over the next 12 years, he managed that location for both an independent company and a corporation. In 2013, he co-founded Z66 Auto Auction, marking his first opportunity as an auction owner. The inaugural sale in April of that year was the largest event he and his team had ever participated in, consigning 740 units and selling 560 in a three-lane sale barn on a nine-acre concrete lot.

Over the next 11 years, Z66 expanded significantly, growing into a seven-lane auction with two sales per week, averaging 1,400 consignments and selling 750 units weekly. The operation spanned three inventory locations across nearly 30 acres. Since the sale of Z66 to the Americas Auto Auction group in August 2024, weekly consignments and sales have continued to grow.

Freeman attributes his success to the foundational values instilled in him—placing people and relationships above all else, with the understanding that financial success naturally follows.

Beyond the auction industry, Freeman and his wife actively compete in American Quarter Horse events. Both have won multiple World Championship Titles in Ranch events and Tie-Down Calf Roping, a passion that provides balance amid the fast-paced nature of the auto auction business.
