Paul Elio, the founder of an innovative used car dealership named Renew Automotive Sales in Phoenix, graduated Suma Cum Lade from GMI Engineering and Management Institute (now Kettering University) in 1995. Elio started a consultancy specializing in new product development in automotive (ESG Engineering).

Through ESG Engineering, Elio received 24 patents mostly for automotive-related technology. Paul then founded Elio Motors, an automotive startup that developed a vehicle that would get 84 mpg, made in America with 90% North American content and sticker priced for $7,500.

Unfortunately, the vehicle never made it to production due to funding issues. Elio has appeared on CNBC multiple times, Fox and Friends, Good Morning America, and Innovation Nation, as well as being featured in articles in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, Forbes, Fast Company, and Financial Times.

Elio also was invited to give TedEx talk on Innovation in Detroit at the Fox Theater.
