Nakita Stevens

Nakita (Key) Stevens is a dedicated and skilled Level II mobile trailer repair technician at Fleet Services by Cox Automotive. Beginning her career journey in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, at Charlotte Amalie High School, Nakita developed a foundation in auto body and welding. Her passion for the automotive industry led her to further education at the Universal Technical Institute and the NASCAR Technical Institute, honing her skills and expertise in trailer mechanics.

Over the years, Nakita has focused on delivering quality repairs and moved into leadership roles, teaching others the art of trailer mechanics. As a participant in the 'Women Who Wrench' mentorship program, Nakita has emphasized the importance of support and education in advancing the careers of female technicians and promoting gender diversity in the workplace.

Nakita's multicultural roots from her Virgin Islander heritage have significantly shaped her identity and approach to her career, emphasizing community, tradition, and the value of networking and professional growth within Cox Automotive. She is a role model and an advocate for pursuing dreams relentlessly, inspired by figures like Jann Mardenborough and Linda Cash.

Outside of her professional life, Nakita is passionate about the auto industry, with dreams of becoming a NASCAR driver and a Mopar enthusiast. She is also dedicated to her business, aiming to support her family's dreams, particularly her son's aspirations.
